The regular meeting of the Clay-Platte Scottish Rite Club was opened in proper form at 7:00 pm on December 17, 2007 by President Ron Hewitt, with prayer by the Chaplain, Virden Daugherty, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to our Flag. Brother Kevin Hampton read the Scottish Rite Creed. There were 11 members, 9 ladies and 2 guests present.

Guest Speakers: There was no guest speaker.

Sickness: The wife of Ill. Brother Jim Duzan, 33º, Secretary of the Sedalia Scottish Rite Club, has died. Brother Bob Whitaker will enter a hospital in January for surgery.

Minutes: The Minutes of the November 10, 2007 meeting were approved as amended. The Treasurer reported he would email his report.

Old Business: Ill. Brother A. Freeman Stanfill, 33º installed the elected officers for the year 2008: Kevin L. Hampton – President, Daniel E. Woehrman – Vice-President, Cody T. Hines – Treasurer, Ronald C. Hewitt – Secretary and Virden L. Daugherty – Chaplain.

New Business: There was no new business presented.

Remarks: The retiring President welcomed Brother and Mrs. Stanfill and recognized their long trip to attend our meetings and thanked him for installing our officers. Valley and Lodge activities were noted.

The meeting was closed in regular form at 7:55 pm.

Dues for 2008 in the amount of $15.00 are now payable. Dues can be mailed directly to the Treasurer; OR BETTER turn them in when you attend the next meeting! If you are not sure of your dues status, check with the Treasurer.

PLEASE call the Vice President Dan Woehrman with the number in your party for our next meeting at 816/280-3253 or you can email him at dan@callenderprinting.com. Dan will need this information by Friday before the meeting on Monday [so that Tommy’s can plan their space and personnel accordingly]!
