Guest Speakers: Venerable Master, Bernard Meister spoke to our group on the importance of getting back to our roots in the Blue Lodge and finding those men we believe would be good Scottish Rite Masons, get them into a Blue Lodge and into the Rite. He also spoke on the importance of continuing Masonic education to define who we are and what we do. He promoted the College of the Consistories self-study course that will educate members on the degrees and their deeper meanings. Brother Meister also announced that the Valley will hold Family nights in July and August instead of going dark as had been the practice before the temple was air conditioned. Movies and fun are planned for both months.

Sickness:
Debbie Woehrman was recovering nicely after knee surgery and Larry Moss was healing after injuring his wrist

Minutes:
The Minutes of the January 21, 2008 meeting were approved as presented.

Treasurers Report:The Treasurer reported that our closing balance for January was $767.99

Old Business:
It was agreed that the club would present the 13th degree at the fall 2008 reunion. Brother Ron Hewitt will assume the role of director.

New Business: The club voted to purchase a copy of Windows XP operating system for the computer used for sound effects and music in the auditorium. The system was damaged and with assistance of Brother Wes Wingfield who purchased a new hard drive, and Brother Cody Hines who has served as chief surgeon, the computer will be operable at our upcoming reunion.

The club also voted unanimously to sponsor a candidate in the spring reunion. Brother Strady Anastos who is taking his 3rd degree on March 8th and who desires membership into the order will receive a full scholarship complements of the Clay-Platte Club! Several members made comment that this was one of the most important roles a club can play in the valley.
