The regular meeting of the Raytown Scottish Rite Club was opened in proper form by our president Ron Hewitt, KCCH at 7:10 pm on March 10, 2008 in the old Sultan’s Lounge of Ararat Shrine Temple with prayer by acting Chaplain, Virden Dougherty. There were 12 members, ladies and guests present.

Guest Speaker: There was no guest speaker but the members enjoyed a lively evening of Bingo with Brother Hewitt calling the numbers. Prizes and fun were had by all!

Sickness: Betty McCain was reported on Hospice care. Our thoughts and prayers are with both Bill and Betty.

Minutes: The minutes were presented via email and regular mail in advance of the meeting and were approved as submitted.

Treasurers Report:No Treasurer’s report was available.

Old Business: There was no old business.

New Business: Ron Hewitt announced that the 2008 calendar books were in production and would be available at the next stated meeting of the valley. Special thanks went to Brother Dan Woehrman and his company Callender Printing for the hard work they have put into this project.

Special Guest: There were no Special guests

Remarks: No special remarks were made.

The meeting was closed in regular form at 7:45 pm.

Dues for 2008 are now payable. You can mail them directly to the Secretary/Treasurer; OR BETTER turn them in when you attend the next meeting! If you are not sure of your dues status, check with Bill.

PLEASE call Brother Vern Whitson with the number in your party for our next meeting at 913/381-3035 or you can email him at jeanvern9596 @aol.com. Vern will need this information by Friday before the meeting on Monday [so that The Shrine can plan their space and personnel accordingly]!
